I have been toying with the idea of a blog for some time. Not because I think I have opinions that are that much more interesting that the next, but because I feel the need to write about them.
I have found that in my life I only grow if I challenge myself. By writing about each opinion we have we challenge those ideas and force ourselves to think a bit more critically.

But I couldn’t just call you “the man” and miss the chance at additionally denigrating the monkeys you had to work with. You wrote some pretty outstanding code for that project and designed some remarkably elegant systems. You didn’t always get the Steve Jobs name for things, but who does (NoT Mr Jobs for a start). I’ve talked shop with a few mmo/network devs and when I describe the odd bit of teulKit lightbulbs go off like crazy. Bi-directional packers? Some might recognize call it “serialization” (which is generally bidi) but “spot the network stack that does it”. So, I call genius on you 🙂

You are too kind, but thank you. It all seams like ancient history, and I suppose it is in internet years.
I look back to 1999 and marvel at the beginning or what was my second or third career and am amazed that in that time the world and I have changed so much.
I really should log back in for old time sake (assuming my account still works) to see what wonders you and the rest of the team that walked upright have managed. Goodness knows there was a lot of room for improvement 😉
